Global leader in Security printing & papermaking, a business that is involved in the production of over 150 National currencies, a wide range of security products such as passports, authentication labels & fiscal stamps and pioneers in Government Identity solutions for national identification, drivers licence and passport issuing schemes seeks to appoint a truly high calibre Commercial Manager to work with the Head of Business Development across the Group’s contract/bid submission portfolio.
Your remit will be to maximise sales through the preparation and submission of professionally prepared, concise and competitive proposals and bids maximising profitability and top line growth.
Working directly with the Business Development Director, you will assist and positively influence the development and qualification of sales opportunities, developing bid strategy where required and preparing, coordinating and submitting technical and commercial offers, bid responses, requests for further information and other such documents as required.
You will lead a cross-functional team through the bid management process as required, identifying and putting in place teaming agreements with 3rd parties as necessary, whilst interfacing with Group Legal, Tax, Divisional Finance and other functions to prepare internally compliant bids
You must possess extensive experience in bid and proposal preparation, preferably in government sector, which you will combine with commercial acumen in preparation of business cases and/or bid justification You will be accustomed to working with third party partners, be highly literate and numerate with strong organisation skills and a high degree of negotiation capability, and inevitably, the ability to manage multiple projects under pressured and tight timescales.
