Front Line Manager
An opportunity has arisen at the Featherstone plant for the above position, reporting directly to the Conversion Manager and working to the following shift pattern:-
2 x 12 hour days, 2 x 12 hour nights then 4 days off, 7 Rotations then 18 days off.
Your primary role will be to ensure the effective and efficient running of the shift (in conjunction with the Conversion Manager), ensuring that production is fit for purpose and meets customer expectations.
In order to succeed in this role you will be required to focus on the performance management of key personnel to ensure that productivity improvement plans are met, departmental waste targets are achieved whilst maintaining housekeeping and departmental Health & Safety Performance.
Additionally you must be an effective team player with a positive and flexible approach, the ability to use your own initiative, well-educated and be able to demonstrate a strong track record of production supervision/management.
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following key skills:
• Previous management experience
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
• The ability to set targets and manage performance to achieve these results
• Problem solving ability
• Sound analytical skills
• Strong administration skills
Familiarity with Modern Manufacturing Techniques including Lean Manufacturing, 5S and Set Up Reduction would be a distinct advantage. Salary: £36,027.73 - £36,748.28
