Attractive Salary: OTE in excess of £50,000+ car allowance + competitive commission structure

Our client is a global leader in the retail, food, security, and medical packaging markets. They attribute success to their innovation strategies that give an undeniable edge in creativity, design and technical applications.

They currently require a New Business Development Manager in a home based role in the UK. This will require a background in the packaging industry, with the inspiration to develop new products and to think outside the box for existing products and markets, but also someone who is a very capable of implementing those plans.

Main Purpose of Role: The UK Sales Manager will be responsible for developing new and current markets to exceed monthly and annual sales targets, which will involve writing proposals, meeting clients and co-ordinating all details relating to new customer orders.

Potential markets of interest are pharmaceutical, specialist packaging, e-commerce, airlines etc.

Main Responsibilities and Activities:
  • Identify strategic business opportunities to increase sales of the company's products within your area as well as supporting other Sales Team members as required
  • UK sales areas will encompass England, Scotland Ireland and Wales working closely with the Managing Director and Sales Director to ensure strategy alignment
  • Promotion of their facilities to new and existing clients through a pro-active approach
  • Develop and submit quotes to customers, negotiating as necessary to secure the contracts
  • Having the ability to recognise opportunities and the sales experience to nurture prospects into clients
  • Develop a portfolio of clients into key accounts and lead a sales strategy for the UK
  • Develop and deliver a rolling sales plan, updated every month
  • Deliver sales updates in accordance with company format
  • Generate leads through market and client research
  • Identify and develop prospects into clients
  • Develop clients into key account status
  • Reporting of key quotations and new business opportunities to the MD
  • Develop multiple contacts with each Client account (influencers, decision makers and product champions)
  • Identify new markets for product development
  • Identify new product innovations and partnership opportunities
  • Implement marketing, advertising and promotion planning as required
  • Prioritise activities and prospects towards achieving agreed business aims, including costs and sales
  • Servicing the needs of existing customers
  • Keeping up to date with products and competitors
  • Execute the responsibilities of a sales manager as per company policy
  • Extensive travel within sales area



Reporting Relationship: The UK Sales Manager will report directly to the Managing Director, supporting CSD and liaising with sales team colleagues.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in direct capture campaigns and sales performance based on specific targets
  • Motivated and self-directed sales professional that can operate within company guidelines
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation and management skills with a strong business work ethic, positive attitude and professional demeanour required
  • MS Office skills and advanced networking skills to build relationships within the industry
  • Can demonstrate competence in self-management, advanced sales skills, networking and target marketing to specific prospects
