Field Engineer | Labelling & Coding Machinery | Bristol | £35k - £45k

 

Global leader renowned for manufacturing exceptional labelling and coding equipment solutions selling into chemical cosmetics, food and beverage, medical devices and automotive.  Dedicated to sustainability and innovation, this organisation is constantly coming up with new and exciting labelling and coding equipment solutions to keep ahead of their competitors.

 

As Field Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Completing preventative and general maintenance on all equipment
  • Attending installations, breakdowns and completing repairs, troubleshooting issues
  • Developing a deep understanding of the various manufacturer’s warranty programs and how the return to base repair services can be improved
  • Assisting the Product Manager with the Development of new Coding and associated in line printing solutions
  • Working with the team in developing a thermal transfer ribbon testing program

 

Key attributes required:

  • Must have a strong demonstrable background in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Previous experience in engineering machines that produce barcode labels
  • Fantastic communication and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work within a high pressure and demanding environment
  • Be keen for development and able to offer ideas for improving procedures and the engineering service program
