Our Client, a leading technology company within the industrial digital printing industry sector, is now seeking to recruit an Ink Application Scientist to join them at their offices in Cambridgeshire. As part of a small and expanding R&D team this role is essential in ensuring that our Client remains a leader in the advancement of inkjet technology.
The successful Candidate will have responsibility for setting up printing systems in order to optimise the print settings for inks as well as scrutinising the performance of inks after detailed print testing. This testing ensures the development of inks and is essential in maintaining production quality. You will be expected to develop new experimental test methods and procedures to ensure the factors affecting long term ink performance are analysed prior to the release of new products.
The ideal Candidate will have a Degree in either Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science or a related discipline or an equivalent vocational qualification. With hands-on laboratory experience and/or experience of working in a production environment where inks or other fluid formulations are characterised is essential. Experience of Inkjet/ink printing or other printing or coating techniques. With the capability and enthusiasm for learning new skills the successful Candidate will be competent in the use of standard IT packages and will have good numerical and observational skills. The ability to work in a fast paced environment is essential and the capacity to work effectively in teams in a focussed industrial research environment is crucial.
