Account Manager- Central London - c£32k + Generous Bonus

We have a tremendous opportunity to join an independent, profitable and well established print management company, based in Central London.

It's a lovely place to work and the team is made up of around six members who provide a fully managed print service to the healthcare, publishing & retail sectors You will be joining a small, friendly team in an open plan office in the heart Central London.

They are looking for a dynamic, responsible, personable account manager to take control of the print for one of their largest clients. You will provide operational excellence, exceptional customer service skills, negotiation abilities, crisis management experience, process and project management skills and reporting

We are looking for someone who is a  real problem solver with a “can do” attitude!


Main purpose of job

The Account Manager will manage all of the production outsourcing processes for each project from start to finish, sourcing, delivering artwork, print production, and artwork approval.  You will be responsible for customer service and product delivery through continual liaison with clients, and suppliers on matters relating to print and campaign management. You will be required to build relationships with clients and manage their perceptions and expectations.

Requests for quotations will be processed in a responsive manner and clients will be updated regularly on the progress of their work. You will select the most appropriate suppliers, negotiate costing and time-scales for each job and ensure that internal procedures are followed at all times.

You will probably spend a couple of days a week onsite with one of their clients, which enables you to provide the client with an account manager who becomes a part of their internal team and is a “go to” person relating to all print requests from within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day to day responsibility for managing projects and accounts
  • Setting and managing project timelines
  • Weekly / Monthly / Quarterly client meetings
  • Managing the print requirements for a portfolio of clients, mainly publishers and retailers
  • Maintain detailed job history information & monitoring of online activity/conversation 
  • Print production planning and project management
  • Adopt a consultative approach
  • Purchasing and negotiating with external suppliers to ensure most competitive costs are achieved  while ensuring delivery is on time, to spec, to quality and to contractual targets
  • Management of multiple stakeholders to ensure smooth project completion
  • Ensure all agreed procedures and processes are followed and that appropriate reporting is actioned for both the customer and internal/external departments
  • Maintain detailed job history information & monitoring of online activity/conversion        
  • Providing weekly account updates to senior management via team collaboration software

Person Specification

  • Minimum 2 Years’ experience working ideally within a Print Management or Print Agency environment
  • An assertive and competent individual, proficient in all Microsoft office packages
  • Excellent client management skills face to face, telephone and email.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to multi-task and work on their own initiative
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem solving ability.
