Contracted Hours of Work: Monday to Friday: 9:00am - 5:30pm

Our client is a leading signage & graphics company based in the South West. They provide interior design, signage, graphics, events & exhibitions and branding solutions for a variety of clients.

They are now looking to recruit an Operations Director to join their expanding team, responsible for the overall operational day to day running of the business and overseeing the management team.

  • Overseeing the management team to ensure there is effective communication and clear planning and coordination throughout teams and within the Clarity system
  • Working closely with Managers to drive targets and plan resources, oversee the management of projects, people issues and management communication, reporting into Directors as appropriate
  • Oversee the day to day operation across design, production and install departments, ensuring productivity and efficiency of time and people, to achieve deadlines and financial targets
  • Keep the Managing Director updated weekly with achievements against KPI's and targets
  • Lead, manage and motivate the management team, ensure that quality and client satisfaction are achieved across all aspects of projects
  • Manage and maintain the organisational project plan and ensure this is kept up to date
  • Ensure that Clarity is updated accurately so that reporting on jobs / WIP / leads correctly informs decisions, costings, invoicing and planning
  • Ensure that project management time is input to Clarity is always costed into projects and that the all teams accurately input their time into Clarity on a daily basis
  • Lead discussions and solutions at the Project Planning meeting
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with management team to ensure a smooth process from enquiry through to design through to production
  • Determine how to best allocate resources, time, budget and project hours so that projects are profitable
  • Where necessary, schedule and organise management team diaries
  • As appropriate, be a key contact point for clients either at initial meetings or during projects - ensure there is clear, accurate and commercial account management
  • Ensure you create and maintain a spirit of teamwork within the design team and across departments
  • Adhere to all company health & safety regulations
  • Liaise with colleagues and other departments to meet the needs of customers

  • Willing to work overtime as and when required
  • Previous managerial experience
  • Previous working experience within the signage & display industry
  • Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and presentation
  • Well organised and client focused
  • Enthusiastic, able to delegate and motivate people
