Hours: 8:00am - 5:30pm (Monday to Friday)

Our client has been established for over 10 years and offers a full range of services across the signage sector, supplying a variety of markets including councils, facility management, hospitals, health sector, colleges and universities.
They are currently looking to recruit a Sign Maker to join their team.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, make and install signs for a variety of uses, including traffic signage, signs for business premises, indoor and outdoor exhibition displays, shop window signs and designs for vehicle bodies
  • Using materials including vinyl, Perspex, plastic, metal and glass
  • The work can cover one or many of the diverse skills involved in the sign making process, from design, sign preparation, sign layout through to sign manufacture
  • Digital printing, vinyl cutting, laminating, sheet cutting using aluminium, dibond, rigid PVC and Foamex
  • Design signs and plan work
  • Material preparation
  • Vinyl cutting and applying vinyl on site


Requirements:
  • Good drawing skills, practical skills and attention to detail
  • Experience using Corel Draw, Versaworks and Omega 4.0
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to work as part of a small team
  • Organisational skills
  • Knowledge of lettering styles, fonts and design
  • Health and safety awareness
  • Understanding of technology used to produce signs
  • Ability to keep up to date with new skills and techniques
  • Creative flair for design work
