As a Category Manager, you will share responsibility for the strategic sourcing of Temporary POS. You will work to consolidate spend within an European vendor base. You will work hand in hand with suppliers to drive and deliver continuous improvement and cost reduction while taking the lead in identifying new suppliers. You will manage vendor sourcing activities ensuring that value is maximised.
The Category Manager will discuss terms of business with suppliers and manage service level agreements. You will work to establish savings for clients within your relevant category spend and work with relevant products and services and take them to market. You will also work to understand relevant client accounts and help design and deliver new solutions to improve product quality, value and efficiency.
The Required Skills and Experience
To be successful as the Category Manager you will need extensive knowledge of Temporary Point of Sale. You will understand both 2D/3D products. It would be also beneficial to have general knowledge of Print. You will have strong stakeholder and supplier management experience (both internal and external) and be a skilled communicator with superb influencing and negotiation skills. The Category Manager needs extensive packaging market knowledge. Sourcing strategies will be a big part of the role so you need to have had significant knowledge of category management.
In return for your skills and experience as a Category Manager you will be offered a competitive salary between £50,000 and £60,000.
