Print & Direct Mail Production Manager

We are an Award Winning Creative Agency, working for the charity sector, looking to recruit an additional Print & Direct Mail Production Manager due to some fantastic new accounts coming on board.

Our clients include Amnesty International, Greenpeace and Crisis.

The Production Manager will be responsible for guiding and overseeing all aspects of production for our print and direct mail campaigns, from initial specification briefing through to final delivery, working closely with all internal departments and clients.

DUTIES:

  • Attend In-house specification briefings.
  • Produce workable print and job specifications.
  • Collate costs from suppliers and produce estimates and confirmation of orders.
  • Award work to suppliers based on best fit and competitiveness.
  • Oversee each stage of production from artwork receipt through to final delivery.
  • Maintain and update all associated paperwork connected to a job.
  • Liaise with DSA and Royal Mail and manage postal requirements on behalf of our clients.
  • Write laser briefs and check personalisation proofing.
  • Advise on any new processes or technology that may be beneficial.
  • Carry out any other duties as required.
  • Work with Operations to define Campaign schedules that meet the needs of the clients.
  • Work with Client Service and Creative to define practical marketing solutions.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible price for the client.

SKILLS:

  • Excellent knowledge of print production.
  • Strong background in managing Direct Marketing campaigns, including data.
  • Some experience of Digital print and marketing would be desirable but not essential.
  • Some experience of charity marketing would be desirable but not essential.
  • Good Communication skills.
  • Good problem solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Ability to prioritise jobs.
  • Ability to manage complex jobs.
  • Ability to work in a methodical and organised manner.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for quality.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Positive attitude, with flexible approach.

Salary band:£25,000 - £38,000 depending on experience
