Position: Creative Direct Mail Account Manager

Location: Bristol

Salary: £33k-£35k + commission

The Company: My client is a global print management company

The Role:

  • This role is to be a trusted advisor to the client’s marketing team, collaborating on all aspects of communication production across traditional and digital channels.
  • This role will also support the Direct Mail Team in times of increased workloads to deliver the clients Direct Marketing Campaigns. So, working knowledge of end to end Direct Mail Campaigns essential.
  • They will also have day-to-day management responsibility for the Studio of two on-site Art workers to ensure a consistently high-quality delivery of artwork requirements and workflow within agreed SLAs. Ability to be hands on within the Studio at times of increased workloads, holiday or sickness.
  • To build and maintain client relationships, that ensure the role becomes the primary and central source for trusted advice for all document production and communication needs of the Clients business units.
  • Manage the delivery and growth of the in-house Studio services to the highest quality standards within the agreed SLAs.
  • Pulling data together to produce regular MI Reporting to the client from multiple sources.
  • Delivery of Direct Mail Campaigns from initial brief through to final delivery.

  • To understand the client’s business environment and drivers, developing strong relationships with key team members in client organisation.
  • To ensure that continuous improvement and marketing best practice is incorporated into daily interactions with the client.
  • To work with the client and internal teams to identify and fulfil opportunities for further standardisation of print deliverables (both commercial and direct mail) to reduce print costs.
  • To ensure their transformation roadmap is delivered to the client’s satisfaction and to acceptable commercial benefit to the company.
  • To assist the client in formulating effective strategies and creative solutions from concept through to delivery of briefs within agreed SLAs.

Requirements:

  • Communications services industry/Account Management experience ideally gained from a full-service Agency background and/or with a blue-chip client
  • Experience of working in Financial Services sector.
  • Experience in managing change programmes across process, technology and people
  • A proven track record in managing and delivering omni-channel campaigns including direct mail.
  • Good understanding of digital channels and how they impact traditional communications (print).
  • Excellent presentation and communications skills with an ability to present at senior levels
  • Commercially strong and numerate.
  • Experience of collaborative workflow software and MI reporting (Qlikview knowledge would be an advantage).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast and moving environment.
  • An organised individual with excellent attention to detail.
  • A proven ability to articulate and deliver innovative and completed solutions.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Design experience highly desirable along with excellent working knowledge of AppleMac hardware and Adobe Creative Suite and Studio management.
