Role and Key Responsibilities

  • 30% hands on 70% supervision of department


  • To Achieve production output within the required targets
  • To ensure the complete and accurate recording of productive hours
  • To order and maintain component stock at defined levels
  • To ensure standard working practices are observed
  • To actively communicate with all departments on works order progress and raise issues in a timely manner with the appropriate persons
  • Ensure low-level preventative maintenance is carried out
  • Conduct Team Briefings where required
  • To generate and lead improvement initiatives in department
  • Lead and develop skills & competencies of department staff


  • Ensure all ISO procedures are communicated, utilised and in compliance with the company quality process.
  • Lead continuous improvement of processes and operations.

Health & Safety

  • Are responsible for checking day to day compliance with the health and safety policy and company rules and procedures of the staff under their supervision
  • To ensure all accidents are recorded
  • Ensure all accidents, near misses are investigated if necessary with the guidance of the Health and Safety Advisor and to help implement any corrective actions
  • Encourage all staff to report Potential safety incidents and act to remove/rectify those incidents.
  • To take any suggestions, recommendations for health, safety or environmental improvements from their staff to the management or health, safety and environment committee
  • To help introduce improvements or corrective actions required by the senior management or the health and safety committee

Preferred  Skills

  • Relevant depth of experience within a similar role
  • Relevant depth of knowledge in POS, Signage, Exhibition and Large format print
  • Use of ERP/MRP systems
  • Experience in delivering on time, to the appropriate quality and cost to agreed targets
  • Can Do’ attitude with drive, energy and enthusiasm
  • Influencing and motivating skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Able to adapt position and modify plans for changing customer needs
