Contracted Hours of Work: Monday to Friday: 8:30am - 5:00pm

Our client is a leading commercial print & direct mail specialist based in North Yorkshire.

They are currently looking to recruit a Commercial Manager to join their existing team. This role will require a significant contribution within the senior team and the candidate will grow to progressively take ownership and responsibility for the efficient and effective running of various sectors within the department.

  • Responsible for commercial, customer service, management information, estimating, work flow & process and project management departments
  • The main point of contact between the customer and production and production back to the customer incorporating all elements in between
  • To allow the Managing Director to focus on sales and business development activities and therefore to drive the company forward, permitting achievement of the company's five-year growth plan
  • Assist with the establishment and review of all external client contracts, tenders, quotes and proposals
  • Establish and manage the procurement framework within the company and control key supplier contracts
  • Be up to speed with and be the point of contact for commercial, contractual law matters
  • To ultimately take ownership for and effectively run a number of the company's Key Customer Accounts
  • Lead a team of 4 Account Managers
  • Be responsible for ensuring that data is captured correctly so that this data can be used as an effective tool to improve on the company's performance
  • Provide analysis of costs against estimate to measure performance
  • Formulate, document, publish and keep up to date the Sales Order Processes and flows from enquiry through to invoice, including addressing any areas for change or improvement
  • Project manage and be a significant decision maker in the investigation and potential implementation of an MIS system or alternative that is fit for purpose
  • Create, review and implement business procedures, specifications and standard operating procedures
  • Managing the costing and estimating function and assisting in the bids and tender process
  • Reporting to the Managing Director
