At DS Smith Fordham, we have an exciting opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Leader. As the, Continuous Improvement Leader you will support the performance of the Fordham Operation by effectively driving cross functional teams to meet Health & Safety, quality expectations, output requirements and cost targets. You will be responsible for developing a continuous improvement culture across the Fordham site to ensure all key objectives and KPI’s are delivered.

The Role:
As a Continuous Improvement Leader, your will report to the Conversion & CI manager, the key task involve supporting the effective implementation of key projects and initiatives by facilitating and developing cross functional teams to deliver a continuous improvement culture.
The focus is to deliver world-class Service in a fast paced environment to delight customers and grow our business. To continually develop an environment that promotes constructive involvement and engagement across the site.

We need an engaging individual with a can do attitude able to coach and deliver the highest standards to strict deadlines. If you have experience in people engagement, excellent communicator and result driven, then this role is for you!

Ideally you will have process experience and knowledge. You will have a demonstrable track record of implementing sustainable change as well as setting and surpassing KPIs.

The Candidate
• Knowledge of a manufacturing environment and continuous improvement tools and techniques
• Strong Communicator with the ability to engage at all levels of the organisation.
• Ability to demonstrate how our corporate values will be applied in the workplace:

• Ability to make decisions in a time pressured environment.
• The ability to work through others to deliver results.
• Is driven by results.
• Microsoft Excel skills

• Educated to A level or technical qualification standard, or equivalent.
• Green belt trained in Lean techniques.
• Background in Manufacturing
• Data analysis techniques and effective use data.
• Experience of influencing a team/people, pro-active approach to change management
• Ability to make decisions in a time pressured environment.
