Business Development Manager, Retail Labels & Tickets -National Role
Impressive global supplier of the highest quality labelling, ticketing and RFID products to Clothing Manufacturers & Retailers worldwide, seek to appoint an dynamic & connected Business Development Manager to lead their new market expansion strategy.
With a UK based Head Office and strategically placed Production Centres throughout the world, their strong design capability and efficient, global procurement and distribution of product into the supply chain has positioned them at the forefront of the industry.
Your primary remit will be to devise & deliver the strategy for growth & market sector expansion across existing & new products / solutions, so you must have a proven sales history at a strategic level, with a track record of delivering/ exceeding budget expectations. You’ll combine good commercial awareness and experience of dealing with major international Clients via a driven yet consultative Sales approach. Though experience & connectivity in the apparel labels, ticketing & RFID arena would be beneficial, it is your evolved skillset for identifying and managing sales opportunities, building in depth understanding of customers’ needs and the demonstrable successful development of existing and new business accounts across a diversity of the Retailer arena that is critical for success in the role (This may come from Apparel related solutions such as fabric, trims etc, or across connected Retailer sectors including Homewares, Furnishings/furniture or Uniforms etc)
You will have the skills, personality & experience to engage at all Client levels, including Head Office / Buying Offices and Garment Vendors, driving forward new revenue growth and margins.
Key Duties and responsibilities:
- Devise & deliver the strategic business plan for Sales growth
- Develop a broad range of multi-level relationships within both the Retailer/s and their vendors.
- Conduct regular meetings with Clients to engage in all aspects of account development.
- Work with the Strategic Account Manager to ensure the all Revenue and Margin Targets are hit.
Reliable, tolerant and determined, an empathic communicator, well presented and a genuine team-player, you will be very effectively supported from within the Business with their strong technical & commercial understanding of the apparel labelling industry, but your developed insight into the major Retailer’s processes and the requirements placed upon a supplier is critical in your ability to deliver success & sales growth in the role.
Ideally you will reside in the Midlands / South as the vast majority of the target Clients have offices in London or the Home Counties, though travel to many major UK & European cities will be required.
