Our client is an award-winning signage company who have been established for over 35 years. They design, manufacture and install various signage solutions to their clients across the UK.

They are now looking for a Sign Installer to join their expanding team.

  • Plan your route for the installation of signage taking all appropriate signs, fixings and paperwork to enable completion of the works order in the time allotted
  • Installing signage across Manchester, Liverpool and the M6 corridor
  • Follow the written method statement and risk assessment advice provided for each individual job to ensure the integral safety of the sign
  • Prepare paperwork and materials and finished goods for delivery to site for installation
  • Checking quality of goods prior to packing if not already quality checked
  • Liaison with client on site, introduction of personnel, adherence to client's health and safety regulations
  • Installation of signs in the appropriate manner; i.e. wall signs, checking for electrics prior to drilling, using appropriate fixings for security of sign and panels and the overall appearance of the sign
  • Post mounted signs: Checking for underground services prior to digging, preparation of ground by removing top soil to required depth and using shuttering as required
  • Installation of LED lighting, cabling and connection to customers electrical supply adhering to legal requirements
  • Completion of delivery notes with customer
  • Any changes to installation requested by client must have a site change form signed by the client and the Production Manager informed prior to departure
  • On larger projects it may be that you are working alongside sub-contractors i.e. Crane Drivers, Hi-Ab Drivers for the delivery and erection of the sign structures - on these occasions signs are fitted onto rag bolt cages that would have been previously fitted by Sign Installers
  • Following completion of an installation clearing the area of any debris and remove to landfill if required
  • Return of scrap materials to the company completing waste transfer notes
  • Maintain quality consciousness in all production and associated areas in accordance with the company's commitment to the quality assurance programme
  • Maintain a clean vehicle post installation removing all debris and rubbish so that the vehicle is in a clean condition for the next installation
  • On occasions to attend a remote installation which involves staying away from base and may involve a few night stays at location for which an overnight allowance is paid
  • Keeping good paperwork, delivery notes, changes to installation instruction, receipts
  • Driving company vehicles in a safe manner following driving policy
  • Observance of all health and safety regulations, method statement and risk assessments

  • The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical installations, groundworks, maintenance, or construction work to enable the person to solve installation problems that may occur on site
  • This job can be physically demanding at times and requires working at height on occasions
  • Good level of education required to understand written and verbal instructions
  • Educated to GCSE level
  • Qualifications in health and safety an advantage, PASMA, MEWP, CSCS
  • Flexible and willing to work overtime as and when required
