Our client is one of the leading multi-channel marketing solutions company's in the UK. With a turnover of £30 million and sites across the country, they provide high end products and solutions to a varied client market.

They are looking to recruit an Account / Production Manager reporting to Production Director. You will be responsible for overseeing the Sales and Production of the Envelope Department. To support the achievement of the business goals by assisting in the operation of the envelope production and selling a range of envelope services. All tasks necessary to enable the smooth running of the department to meet the planned schedules and customer specifications. People management responsibilities include: training, planning and assigning daily work, conducting performance appraisals, addressing performance issues, and resolving problems.

Accountabilities:
  • Managing 4 members of staff - 1 Assistant and 3 Machine Operators
  • The role will be split (50% production management, 45% account management and 5% sales)
  • A full knowledge of the range of services provided in the envelope department
  • A knowledge on how to operate a PC and to be able to understand the company's management systems in regards to estimating etc.
  • Undertake support tasks as seen by the Production Director
  • Pro-actively seek new business
  • To manage and lead the Envelope Production Team
  • To ensure that each team member has a full understanding of the requirements of each job
  • To ensure that all quality procedures are carried out and adhered to by all the team members
  • Effectively deal with telephone and email enquiries requesting quotations on the range of our services which will include prices gained from outside suppliers
  • To attend client meetings in a professional manner ensuring the company brand is being upheld
  • To create quotations from tenders received in a timely and proficient manner
  • Pro-actively chase tenders using a variety of means without alienating the prospective client
  • Maintain an active agreed level of contact with both existing and prospective internal and external clients
  • To prepare job bags from quotations accurately to include all charges due to the Client
  • To process jobs through the department
  • Ensure all details being passed on to the studio department regards artwork are correct and accurate
  • Send the Client PDF proofs as requested and ensure a prompt approval turnaround to maintain steady production
  • Liaise with internal and external Clients to efficiently answer general enquiries concerning deliveries and production
  • To ensure all customer complaints, issues and queries are forwarded on to the proper department and reach a successful and appropriate conclusion
  • Achieve team and individual targets as set by the management team
  • Prepare weekly sales reports etc. for analysis by the management
  • Good time keeping and attendance
  • Maintain your diary daily so the Production Director is aware of what meetings you are attending
  • Maintain a tidy and clean work area ensuring that the office and desks are kept in a clean and orderly manner
  • Understand and adhere to the company policies and procedures with particular emphasis on quality and health and safety
  • To be willing and able to work overtime at relatively short notice and to cover holidays and sickness as and when required
