Globally renowned Packaging Solutions design & manufacturer at the forefront of the Retail, Food & Beverage industry, seek to appoint an experienced Print & Pre Press Manager to drive the Litho Print Production within their flagship North East site.

You must have proven high calibre experience of managing via measurable key performance indicators, including sheets per operating hour, down time, average make ready times, conformance to production plan, delivery (OTIF), customer complaints, internal rejects, accidents/incidents, audits, absence, timekeeping and skills/competency indices.  You will be accustomed to attending various operational and shift meetings in driving departmental efficiency enhancements & continuity, plus the production of a variety of shift, performance and other ad hoc reports.

With an impressive record of supervisory/management impact in a high volume fast-paced Pre Press & Print manufacturing environment, you will be familiar with Lithographic Printing equipment and practices (Komori & Heidelberg ). Dynamic, energetic and a quick thinker with a good track record of health & safety performance, you will have first class man-management skills and be able to organise the time and workload of yourself, your colleagues and your direct reports. 

Knowledge and experience of lean manufacturing tools, 5S, SMED, Standard Ops, TPM and line balancing are essential as are the skills to use Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel and Outlook to easily produce good quality reports, information and data. 

Through effective management of manufacturing and support services, you will balance the challenges of meeting customer needs with optimizing manufacturing effectiveness driving lean and process improvement initiatives, you’ll be the main point of contact for day to day production output optimisation.
