Our client is one of the UK's leading supplier and manufacturer of point of sale materials and they are currently seeking an experienced Sales Account Manager to join their team.

  • Delivering sales growth from existing accounts and combine with inbound calls to meet and exceed sales targets whilst providing the highest quality of customer experience to meet the business plan and maximise profits
  • Identify sales opportunities to grow account through analysis of trends in order history; research via media releases, annual results and 'knowing your customer'
  • Introducing new, targeted, products based on client knowledge
  • Understanding client's business via visits and effective research and communication
  • Meeting client representatives where appropriate
  • Upselling where opportunities present themselves
  • Maintaining contact with customers on a regular basis
  • Making outbound calls to target customers and develop effective relationships
  • Dealing with inbound enquiries via email, telephone and face-to-face positively and professionally
  • Ensure a positive customer experience is the main focus for you and the business
  • Establishing customer requirements quickly
  • Working cross functionally with the Estimating team to generate quotes in a timely manner, Warehouse, Accounts and Procurement - escalating delays to Sales Manager
  • Following up on quotes, samples and prospecting leads effectively
  • Effective delivery of sales targets and goals
  • Operate in line with all sales protocols and procedures
  • Ensuring customer data is kept up to date and accurate
  • Assess customer requirements quickly and respond appropriately, tailoring products and approach dependent upon the individual customers' needs
  • Contribute to team and sales meetings, driving improvements and outputs
  • Input into sales planning and forecasting, feeding back on the effectiveness of marketing activities and making recommendations for new / improved ways of working
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times
  • Take on additional tasks as requested

  • Experience in sales and customer service
  • Preferable good working knowledge of the point of sale industry
  • Significant knowledge of negotiation and sales approaches
  • Excellent communication and rapport building skills
  • Ability to establish needs of others in order to provide the right product
  • Good internal and external stakeholder management
  • Ability to interpret and manage self against tracking systems and procedures
  • Experience of ERP and CRM systems (Sage desirable)
