Are you a confident individual with excellent written skills? Do you love to work with publishing professionals?

We are searching for a Publishing Officer to join our Publishing Team who are responsible for managing the quality of the presentation of public facing printed and digital publications and managing the Department's publishing obligations.

We are a small team, part of the wider, Marketing, Content and Digital team, providing procurement and project management of design, print publishing and creative suppliers.

You will be responsible for project managing a range of high profile announcements and guidance, maintaining deadlines and quality.

Role Responsibilities

As part of your role, you will be required to:

 • Lead the delivery of the individual print and digital projects for all areas of the organisation including; organising transactional print items to the public, Parliamentary and corporate publications as well as national campaign messaging

• Balance the interests of internal policy clients and capacity of creative/production suppliers from planning through of the project

• Manage the briefing and engagement of creative agencies as required

• Be responsible for organising and directing production and creative suppliers in line with the projects agreed scope, budget and schedule

About You

Do you have a high attention to detail? You will be a focussed and calm person who can get the job done regardless of the environment you are in. We want someone who is thorough and able to produce work at a high standard.

We are looking for someone with excellent verbal written and verbal skills, including the ability to articulate technical processes.

You come with experience in publishing and can manage briefing and engagement of print companies and creative agencies. You also have a working understanding of book or digital content production processes.
