Sales Manager - Fine & Technical Papers
Our prestigious Client is a globally recognised Manufacturer of bespoke Paper grades. This renowned enterprise is looking to appoint an experience Sales Manager in a field sales based capacity. The aim of this pivotal role is to further develop an existing Greater London Territory to focus on Technical, Packaging and Fine Paper Markets.
Although well established in all of these markets, (amongst others) there remains scope for new business opportunities they are currently working to develop. It will be your role to understand market potential, professionally represent our client in the marketplace and develop strategic relationships to drive growth.
This will require successful sales management of the Greater London territory. You will examine and evaluate customers’ fine & technical paper needs and then offer recommendations to fulfil those needs while striving to meet established directives. To be successful in this role, you must continuously evaluate market conditions, competitive environment and opportunities for innovation.
Of particular interest to the client are the following product ranges and sector experience:-
- Ink jet papers for the publishing market
- Lightweight papers for information leaflets used for pharmaceutical and agro chemical products and publishing markets, (such as Reference and Religious books etc).
- Knowledge of Packaging Grades, (one example being base papers used in the label market), would be particularly advantageous
The ideal candidate could have a paper background - but someone with Sales / Business Development experience from the print and/or conversion sector with a good knowledge of paper will be equally considered. The most important characteristics will a be a passion for staying up to speed with new technology (inkjet in particular) and an impressive network of contacts. Not only will you have the required industry knowledge, but also the demonstrated knowledge of general business principles, internal financial management and industry business practices to enable profitable decision-making.
The successful candidate would work closely with the Sales & Managing Directors while finding their feet in this role.
Please note: as this is a field sales based role, candidates’ current situation must allow them to travel throughout the territory. The successful candidate will also receive Training at one of our Client's European based Mills.
