Our client is a well-established traffic signage and vehicle graphics company based in the South West. They are currently looking to recruit a Sales Manager to join their team.

The role can be home or office based. If you are based from home you will be required to attend the office on a regular basis depending on location. Ideally the client is looking for someone within a few hours of the North Somerset / Gloucestershire however that is not essential

  • Sales targets of approximately £1.9 million in the reflective traffic signage, emergency services and vehicle graphics market (the company do have a range of other products which are touched on, but the above are the main areas of focus)
  • 70% account management, growing existing accounts and building a solid long-term relationship with key accounts.
  • 30% specification selling, contacting Fleet Managers and presenting the benefits of our products and having them specified for their vehicles.

  • Confident and adaptable to a wide range of customers - the right candidate with comfortable in front of a company owner as well as fleet managers who may be based a garage environment such as a vehicle repair centre.
  • Strategy is key, the candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to creatively approach more difficult customers and know when to not sell and work on a longer sales cycle by relationship building.
  • Diary management, ability to work alone as well as in a small but fun team are also important.
  • There will be the need on occasion to help in other areas of the business, they are a small business, so everyone helps everyone.
  • Good knowledge of pricing and quotations is essential along with a methodical method ow working and logging information for follow up.
  • There is the need to be willing to pick up the phone and call potential customer and fleet managers- these are classed as warm calls, but tenacity is required.
