AREA SALES MANAGER - LARGE FORMAT / DISPLAYS

HOMEBASED / SOUTH EAST

Our client is a leading display solutions and large format company based in the East Midlands. They are currently looking to recruit a homebased Area Sales Manager responsible for managing approx. 600 accounts in the South East.

Responsibilities:
  • This role will involve 90-95% account management and 5-10% new business development
  • Responsible for growing sales and developing relationships with a portfolio of customers
  • Visiting customers each week
  • Liaise with the Manager to ensure appropriate credit conditions are maintained for customers and opportunities exploited
  • Liaise with the Head of Sales and Sales Executives to ensure company strategy is observed
  • Identify and develop new customers with a high degree of potential
  • Organise workshops and open house events at the customer facilities, partnering with the customer to showcase the company's products & solutions
  • Report to the Sales & Marketing Director each week to feedback outcome of customer visits and significant events
  • Liaise each week with the Head of Sales and Sales Executive to influence and contribute to the strategy & actions of the internal sales force
  • Prepare and present a monthly sales performance review and detail the actions planned to deliver the budgeted company performance
  • Meeting the targeted sales for the assigned territory
  • Ensuring that existing customers are continually up to date and have a sound business relationship with the company
  • Prospect clients to be followed up, nurtured and converted to active customers
  • Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills
  • Plan and manage workload to achieve optimum results


Requirements:
  • Extensive experience of operating in sales remotely
  • Outstanding people skills with a desire to build relationships
  • Thorough understanding of a KPI driven sales environment and in-depth knowledge of working to a company strategy
  • A proactive individual, flexible & focused, driven to provide excellent customer service
  • Takes ownership of tasks and demonstrable ability to solve problems
  • Ability to handle pressure situations and manage stress, delivering on multiple work streams concurrently
  • Excellent planning, organisational skills and ability to prioritise to meet deadlines
  • A positive and resilient character with a 'can-do' attitude
  • Ability to maintain professional internal and external relationships
