Our Client will consider candidates from either Print, Paper or Packaging - full training provided.
Once trained / established: ability to WFH 2 Days per week.
Our client is the UK Sales Office of a renowned 200 million euro Paper Manufacturing Group - part of a £1.3 billion turnover parent company employing a total of approx 4,000 staff in it's Sales & Manufacturing operations.
Major functions of the role:
To proactively assist with developing and maintaining sales and results within the Trade Division
To have a complete knowledge of our computer systems and to ensure they are kept up to date at all times.
To process stock/indent orders ensuring that all pricings are accurate and credit notes are kept to a minimum
To handle indent enquiries, to contact the mill to obtain prices and deliveries
To co-ordinate all indent orders ensuring that delivery schedules are met and booked in as necessary
To ensure the outside salesperson is kept up to date on all customer activity on a daily basis.
To work with the outside salesperson to discuss and agree prices to be submitted to customers.
To chase enquiries on a daily/weekly basis making every effort to convert them to orders
To liaise with the Division Manager when the company is at risk of losing sales/orders.
To discuss with the Line Manager any orders that we might not get for whatever reason
To have a full knowledge of all company products and company procedures.
To work with Credit Control to obtain all monies on due date, resolving invoice queries
To raise collection notes and process the subsequent return
To understand and adhere to all procedures when opening a credit account and how to handle cash sales
To assist the External Representative, if necessary, with technical claims and any input needed to ensure smooth closure of any complaints/claims.
To attend all sales meetings and sales courses that you are asked to attend and any other courses that would assist in your development
To assist with Stock Taking
To search out and drive constant improvements in Customer Service
To assist if necessary with other internal sales departments.

Professional/Technical Qualifications and Work Experience Required:
Computer knowledge – high degree of literacy and aptitude required. SAP would be beneficial but not essential.
Proven track record within a sales environment in the Paper industry or an associated industry.
Flexible working pattern and attitude.
A real “can do” attitude.
