PRODUCTION HANDLER / SCHEDULER – POINT OF SALE

Our client is a family owned business who have been established for over 45 Years in the POS & Retail display industry. They employ around 85 staff with a turnover of £13M.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Production Handler / Scheduler to support their Sales and Production team with the processing of client orders for their key clients and to ensure that their projects are delivered on time and to the agreed price and specification.

The successful candidate will have an understanding of print and production processes to oversee the completion and delivery of customers projects. A broad competence in all aspects of the creation of card-based point of sale would be required for this role.

The ability to work unsupervised and manage a busy schedule along with a good overview of work in hand you will need to liaise with client and production teams to manage schedules.

Role / Responsibilities:

  • Working with clients and colleagues to create the “display” to the agreed specification.
  • Raising job bags with the correct information and ensuring that they are kept up to date.
  • Liaising with the production team(s) to ensure work is progressing in a timely manner.
  • Using all aspects of their Management Information System to assist in the efficient performance of the business.
  • Placing orders with their suppliers and working with them to ensure that they meet their client’s expectations.
  • The preparation of labels, delivery notes, load up sheets and delivery details to achieve the agreed delivery date.
  • The preparation of invoices ensuring that they have a purchase order and cover all appropriate costs and any extras which have been agreed prior to the submission to the client.
