AREA SALES REPRESENTATIVE - INDUSTRIAL PACKAGING

CENTRAL/ NORTHERN UK LOCATION PREFERRED

Up to £60K + Car + Bonus + Pension

Our client is a Metal and Plastics Packaging Solutions Company operating primarily in the Chemical, Food and other Liquids Handling sectors. Offering new packaging made from recycled content, to reconditioning, reuse, recycling, and professional disposal, they provide customised solutions that have a positive impact on businesses and the planet, bringing true sustainability at scale to companies all over the world.

Now looking for a passionate and highly motivated Area Sales Representative, ideally with some relevant industry experience within IBCs or Drums markets in the UK.

The role will be field based with regular visits to the office, you will be working in tandem with the UK Sales Manager to learn all parts of the role and to ultimately take over that role in the medium term.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serving the existing and new customer base.
  • Establish acquisition and expansion of market shares.
  • Quotation, tracking and negotiation.
  • Enforcing price increases according to specifications.
  • Support of existing customers.
  • Development of action plans to secure the existing business and to acquire new business areas (implementation of the bundling strategy).
  • Price responsibility for existing business (price adjustments to non-index linked customers and implementation of price adjustments, indexed customers including the lag effect reduction project).
  • Tracking payment methods (DSO, payment terms, credit insurance).
  • Observe market trends and competitor development.
  • Customer Visits.

YOUR IDEAL PROFILE:

  • Minimum 4 years in Sales or Customer Service preferably in the Industrial Packaging industry.
  • University degree or technical/commercial focused apprenticeship.
  • Experienced with MS Office.
  • Hands-on mentality.
  • Self-initiative.
  • Assertiveness.
  • Team and customer-orientated work habit.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
