About the job

The role is to lead and direct a extensive team of carpenters, CAD technicians, Production Managers and subcontractor freelancers to ensure “Right First Time” event and fabrication builds that are delivered within budget to agreed timelines and continue to push boundaries of our clients ideas as well as adhering to all required Health & Safety guidelines and procedures across the full variety of clients and markets.

You will work closely with your team as well as guiding and advising the project management team with their budgets, scoping, designs and build schedules.

You will provide comprehensive support and leadership on projects and tasks, plan daily, weekly and monthly build schedules, as well as strategically look to grow the department and fabrication offering as well as developing your team and their skills. 


Key performance tasks will be :-

Ensuring your team are holding productive daily production meetings.
Creating and monitoring build schedules ensuring client delivery is always met. 
Develop build event ideas with project managers and production team.
Updating internal MIS system with workloads and tasks for the wider team to ensure projects deliver on time. Training provided.
Providing guidance and leadership across practicable build, construction and site project management needs.
Ability to liaise with clients as and when, as well as be part of pitches for new works.
Management experience and guidance across live event and exhibitions, Festivals, Roadshows and live days ensuring that we have full cover for these when needed. 
Advise on build drawings for projects, drawing on your experience to ensure that items are built in the most efficient way driving profitability

.Strong experience and knowledge of 
CAD
CNC
Octanorm and event build systems
Carpentry/joinery skills
Electrical LED lighting systems 
AV
 
Excellent ability to project manage, problem solve, work to deadlines with fantastic organisation skills.
Ability to deal with conflict and ultimately resolution.
Hardworking, reliable ability to work as part of a team 
Able to multi-task and prioritise, you will be expected to understand the entire fabrication build schedule and manage this accordingly. 
Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
Computer literate with knowledge of MS Office suite.                                                                                                              
Health and Safety trained
Clean driving licence - essential 
Fork lift licence – desirable
Weekend and offsite working may be required from time to time.
