Here at Go Inspire Eclipse we have recently invested in a factory move for the post-press department to an enlarged facility which has allowed us to deliver continuous improvement of performance and quality to further our position as one of the market leading commercial print businesses.

 

We now have a vacancy within our Bindery Department for a Supervisor who also has the skill set to operate industry standard Finishing equipment.

 

115 and 137 Pace Guillotine, TH82 folders, MBO T960 Folders, Muller and ST500 stitching lines

 

The candidate will be required to work proficiently, within tight deadlines, have good problem-solving skills, be mechanically adept and more importantly have the right attitude to become the best in all aspects Finishing.

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Ensure that all work is produced to the highest quality and that all procedures are followed. Act in a timely manner when staff do not follow, in particular, quality procedures.
  • Help develop/maintain skills and offer assistance and training to staff that have room for improvement.
  • Actively drive health and safety compliance, in particular regarding wearing PPE .
  • Encourage a culture whereby issues or concerns are raised immediately
  • Personally ensure a high level of housekeeping is maintained at all times.
  • Be able to work under pressure while maintaining high levels of quality output.
  • Report back to your manager any presentation issues for recording, and drive for continued improvement.
  • Work to tight deadlines.
  • Take responsibility for the quality of products you produce.
  • Work as a team member with your shift colleagues.
  • Maintain 6S housekeeping standards
  • Achieve all quality standards to ISO accreditations standards.
  • Follow Company Health & Safety procedures.

 

Skills required for Bindery Operator/Supervisor role:

 

  • Working knowledge in the set-up, operation, and running of our diverse bindery equipment
  • Fully qualified time served operator is required.
  • Pro-active approach to technical problem solving is essential.
  • Have a high level of attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Good Communication skills are essential. 
  • Integrate well with fellow Operators.
  • Be willing to upskill and improve your skillset.
