Our client is a leading provider of end-to-end print management solutions, trusted by organisations across the UK for innovation, service quality, and sustainability credentials. This leading organisation specialises in delivering tailored print, mail, and digital communication services that help public sector bodies reduce costs, streamline operations, and meet their compliance goals.

Expanding its footprint in the public sector, our client is seeking an experienced Business Development Director to spearhead its growth strategy and drive high-value opportunities across government departments, NHS trusts, local authorities, and other public bodies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a targeted sales strategy to grow revenue within the public sector.
  • Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities, from initial outreach to contract negotiation and close.
  • Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers in central and local government, education, healthcare, and related sectors.
  • Lead tender responses, framework applications, and ensure compliance with public procurement protocols.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create tailored print and communications solutions that meet complex client needs.
  • Represent the company at industry events, networking opportunities, and public sector forums.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven track record of success in business development within print management, or document services.
  • In-depth understanding of public sector procurement processes, frameworks (e.g. CCS, NHS SBS, ESPO), and sales cycles.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercially astute with a consultative sales approach and a drive to exceed targets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate market insight into actionable plans.

What Our Client Offers:

  • A dynamic, supportive environment with a strong focus on sustainability and innovation.
  • Uncapped earning potential with a rewarding commission structure.
  • Access to major public sector frameworks and a strong pipeline of opportunities.
  • Flexible working arrangements and career progression opportunities.
