They are looking for a Business Development Director who has the ability to understand the unique challenges each business faces, no matter how big or small, complex or simple; and the knowledge to present a selection of options that are crafted to meet these distinct needs, aligning with objectives and budget.

Purpose

Identify and pursue new business opportunities, manage and develop new accounts. Provide account management support to internal teams as required. Build relationships, manage and develop key accounts. Identify opportunities to upsell/cross-sell the company’s products and services to support the wider strategic business plan. Manage key project work with Production and Creative teams. Support the company’s development by identifying and building new business development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with all Accounts to identify and develop opportunities within each one to increase revenue. This will include maintaining regular close contact with customers, attending meetings and understanding their business objectives.

• For key projects, work collaboratively with customers to identify the most appropriate solution for their business needs.

• Liaise with internal teams to plan, develop and deliver appropriate products / solutions.

• Where required, for larger projects, liaise with the Project Manager and Account Managers to support the project.

• Manage projects efficiently and effectively, including the management of customer budgets, ensuring work is delivered on brief, on time and on budget.

• Support the delivery of the Marketing plan.

• Identify opportunities with customers to upsell / cross-sell the wider Group products to fit with the wider strategic plan.

• Develop and agree a personal new business plan with support from the wider team.

• Manage and track the new business plan to build new accounts. This will include but not be limited to attending trade events, networking opportunities, building relationships and identifying opportunities.

The successful candidate will:
