Business Development Manager | Cartons | UK | Up to £60k plus OTE and car

 

A global packaging company specializing in sustainable and innovative solutions for the food and beverage industry. They design and manufacture a wide range of packaging products, including cartons, containers, trays, cups, and other foodservice solutions. The company serves various markets, including quick-service restaurants, cafés, supermarkets, and food manufacturers, providing packaging for items such as sandwiches, snacks, hot and cold drinks, and ready meals. Their expertise lies in offering tailored packaging solutions that enhance food presentation, ensure freshness, and meet industry sustainability standards.

 

As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Inheriting and managing a blue chip portfolio of multi-million pound existing accounts and developing business around this
  • Working strategically, developing new business within food and FMCG accounts
  • Providing forecasting, budgeting and reporting
  • Being a key part of new product development and product launches
  • Attending client visits, building long lasting relationships with key decision makers

 

Key attributes required:

  • Background working in the packaging industry desirable food industry knowledge
  • Recent experience managing multi million pound portfolios
  • Cultivating relationships skills, the ability to understand client needs, and ensuring their satisfaction
  • Proven track record of developing new business
  • Communication skills, ability to work closely with the sales, marketing, and product development teams
