BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - LARGE FORMAT / POS

NORTH WEST / HOMEBASED

Our client has been providing outstanding specialist large format print solutions for the Advertising, Retail Point of Sale and Event and Exhibitions markets for many years. Combining cutting-edge technology with in-house expertise and innovative processes, they place 'brand impact' at the heart of what they do.
Part of a wider group they can offer there clients an impressive product range including; Large Format, POS, Litho, Digital Print, Screen and Signage
They are now looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to join their team you will be responsible for the development of the business improving the delivery of sustainable growth and customer loyalty through effective account development, planning and disciplined sales execution focused on identifying and converting sales potential within given market segments.
The role will be predominantly new business however there will be an established database for the chosen candidate to work on including lapsed accounts.

Responsibilities / Requirements:

  • To map the industry and main players in the customer base including new customers and identify the company relevant potential
  • Planning of territory and calls to maximise sales potential of the assigned accounts and to achieve sales target
  • Develop multi-level contacts within the customer offices/locations
  • Negotiate agreements to secure profitable sales
  • Actively and effectively promote products and services and develop specific value propositions and case studies
  • Effectively communicate to the commercial team, client and other relevant members of the wider company team and actively encourage return communication on a regular basis
  • Measure and report on share of wallet for the company and competitor products and services to aid in the formation of new company marketing strategies.
  • Using CRM to record data and activities accurately and work with marketing to maximise sales results on campaigns.

Skills & Experience

  • Reasonable level of sales experience within the large format digital print industry, focused on retail, events and/or outdoor channels
  • Be able to understand the company business model and goals and connect these to business development opportunities with customers
  • Able to deliver the company value proposition to the customers and secure business based on the additional value that the company brings to the customer
  • Ability to implement specific action plans to identify and secure, protect, defend, and win new business
  • IT literate - competent with excel, PowerPoint, word docs etc
  • Competent and confident presenter
  • Effective planning to maximise productivity and customer-facing time
  • Passionate about providing excellent customer care.
  • Able to multitask and react to changes with positive results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
  • Be able to handle pressure to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Excellent time management skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and achieve superior results within the deliverable timeframe
  • Demonstrates resilience to face challenging and critical situations in a constructive and decisive manner, dealing with internal and external business partners
  • Strong planning and prioritising skills with the ability to easily differentiate between critical vs. non-critical issues for the business
  • High level of emotional intelligence (self-awareness, social skills, empathy, self-reflection, and humility)
