About the job

Kall Kwik has provided business print, design and marketing solutions in Banbury since 1989. We are currently seeking an experienced digital printer/finisher to join our busy team.

The Position

Based on the Banbury Cross, your hours will be 9am to 5.30pm to coincide with the opening of the retail side of the business, but some paid overtime is common during busy periods. You will be working alongside our experienced team members to meet our clients’ print needs through the production of high-quality work on small and large format digital presses and a large number of other specialist finishing machinery - including our 6-colour Xerox Iridesse and Versant digital production presses, HP Latex large format and DTF fabric printer. You will also be operating finishing equipment such as our F-Mark & Summa cutters, laminator and digital foiler, guillotines, binders, booklet makers and creasers etc.

You will be an important member of the production team; responsible for maintaining stock levels and ensuring that all machinery is in top working order and calling out engineer visits when necessary.

Each day is varied and deadlines can be very tight, so the ability to prioritise and maintain composure is essential. You will also be responsible for quality control and spotting any errors at each stage of the process.

Person Profile:

You will have at least 2 years experience in print production or finishing in large or small format. Ideally, on the equipment as mentioned above or similar along with Fiery RIP and Caldera software. You will be highly self-motivated with an ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Ongoing training will be given in all areas, but a natural problem solver and someone with a technical aptitude, who loves learning new techniques and equipment would do well.

A hard working, enthusiastic and friendly team player with good communication skills, you will have an eye for detail and take pride in the quality of your work. Experience of working in a small/medium-sized company would be ideal. Working and practical knowledge of print industry software packages InDesign, Acrobat and Photoshop would be an advantage.
