About the job

The Delta Group are a visual communications company that specialise in design, print and fulfilment. We have an opportunity for an experienced large format printer to join the Delta Print Team. The Digital Print Operator will be responsible for accurately producing work in line with job specifications and agreed timescales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and process work sent down from the repro/print department;
  • Ensure that the work is sized correctly, and the appropriate correction curve is applied;
  • QC to job requirements;
  • Maintain and process work according to the production schedule;
  • Notify the supervisor/manager when a major issue is encountered;
  • Problem solve minor issues, to ensure that the work flows smoothly through the department;
  • Maintain the machinery to manufacturers recommendations;
  • Keep work area and machinery clean and tidy
  • Select the correct media profile then rip the job to be printed (training will be given if needed).

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Thorough knowledge of print production practices and processes
  • Experience with HP Flatbeds, Inca, efi Vutek is preferable but not essential
  • A good understanding of Windows Operating systems
  • Operational experience within print
  • Demonstrable attention to detail
  • Reliable, trustworthy and conscientious
  • Effective team member


Hours

A weekly rotating pattern (2 on / 2 off) from 06:00 – 20:00 2-2-4 days a week depending on week (until 19:00 on Fri & Sat)
