ENVELOPE ADJUSTER / OPERATOR LONDON

£OPEN (Depending on experience) + Overtime paid 1 ½ + 24 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Pension

Hours of work: 7am - 3pm or 8am - 4pm

My client is a family run commercial printer who have been established for over 50 years. The company offer their clients a range of services including, commercial print, security print, envelope making.

The company are now looking to recruit an Envelope Adjuster / Operator to join their team. Previous experience operating a W&D, Moll or Omnifold machine would be of an advantage

My client is open to speaking to candidates from other backgrounds with machine experience as they can offer a full training programme.

Role / Responsibilities:

  • Adjusting and maintaining machines and having expert input into determining the processes that will meet job requirements.
  • Review job tickets and liaise with colleagues in the office to understand requirements and deadlines for jobs.
  • Identify the most appropriate machine for each job.
  • Adjust machines for specific jobs and produce jobs.
  • Liaise with colleagues in the office and the factory to organise how jobs will be manufactured and determine the processes required before and after manufacture.
  • Discuss and work through complex jobs with colleagues in the office.
  • Explore ideas and use colleagues as a sounding board to identify the best options, solutions and limitations.
  • Undertake basic maintenance of machines, requesting time for repairs and new parts as required.
  • Fix breakdowns, fitting new parts/repairing equipment if possible.
  • Maintain a good knowledge of relevant governance, SOP's and ways of working.
  • Assist with the writing of new SOPs

Key requirements

  • Experience of operating W&D, Moll or Omnifold machines would be of an advantage
  • Ability to read technical operating and maintenance manuals
  • Enjoyment and experience of operating and maintaining complex machinery.
  • Enthusiastic and motivated, with an eagerness to learn.
  • Creative thinker with a 'can-do' attitude and driven to identify options and solutions.
  • Team player.
  • Effective communication skills, efficiently responding to questions from managers and colleagues.
