About you:

We are looking for an experienced, talented and ambitious Marketing professional, who has worked within the paper and packaging industries, to join our team and quickly take ownership of a new and demanding role.

You will be looking for an opportunity to make your mark upon an organisation and use your skills to take the company forward within a changing and exciting sector.

You will have a broad range of marketing and communication skills and have been responsible for motivating teams to deliver time sensitive projects within a business to business environment. A background in membership organisations and/or responsibility for maintaining partner relationships will be advantageous.

About us:

Two Sides is an industry and membership funded organisation which runs a global campaign to promote the attractiveness and sustainability of print, paper and paper-based packaging. 

A small team is headquartered in the UK but the organisation operates throughout Europe, North America, South America, Australia and South Africa with locally funded teams who deliver the centrally agreed marketing strategies but tailored to local market sensitivities.

The multi-language campaign and websites include; Two Sides www.twosides.info and Love Paper www.lovepaper.org 

About the Role:

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for;

  • Developing and delivering the marketing and communication strategy of the Two Sides campaign
  • Managing and mentoring the UK marketing team
  • Assisting and encouraging the local country-based European and International teams
  • Managing existing key stakeholder and member relationships 
  • Developing new stakeholder/member relationships and campaign income
  • Organising & hosting regular International and European conference calls and webinars
  • Some limited European travel will be required to meet key partners and attend meetings

What are we ideally looking for?

  • Extensive practical marketing experience, across all channels
  • Degree level education
  • Knowledgeable about the European paper and packaging market 
  • Experience of dealing with European organisations
  • Experience with both online and offline advertising 
  • Highly organised, self-motivated & punctual
  • Confident hosting meetings and presenting
  • Creative writer with a meticulous eye for detail
  • IT literate and comfortable with analysis tools and various software platforms
  • A working knowledge of a leading European language would be useful but not critical

 

Remuneration:

Salary: 

£55,000 – £70,000, depending on experience. Benefits include a KPI-related bonus of up to 10% p.a. and pension scheme.

You will be expected to work the hours necessary to perform the duties required and travel within the UK and, occasionally, to Europe. The role requires attendance at the company office but some home working is possible.

Pension: 

Employees are enrolled automatically in NEST, the workplace pension scheme set up by the government. 

Private Medical Scheme: 

Employees can join the company private medical scheme after completing the probationary period. 

Holiday: 

20 days + 8 days statutory holiday. The office is closed between Christmas and New Year and does not form part of the holiday allowance. 

Bonus scheme: 

A bonus scheme of up to 10% of salary is awarded annually based on KPIs being met. (Calculated on a pro-rata basis for joiners during the year)

Place of work: 

This will be at the company’s UK offices based in the iCon Centre in Daventry – a newly-built shared office building with break-out areas, meeting rooms, a 250-seat auditorium and free underground parking.
