EXPERIENCED OR TRAINEE LITHO PRINT OPERATOR

WILTSHIRE

Litho Print Operator (Experienced) up to £30K DOE / Litho Print Operator (Trainee) up to £26K DOE + Shift Allowance

Hours of Working: Days 6am to 2pm / 2pm to 10pm

Our client is a leading fundraising service provider , they specialise in digital scanning, fulfiment, direct debit, response handling, data strategy and insight.

They are currently looking for a Litho Print Operator, reporting to the Head of Production to ensure all printed tickets are produced to the correct specification ensuring the instructions on the campaign brief are followed correctly, in a way that the Enclosing machines don't incur any issues with the print or stock supplied from the Tickets that have been produced.

Key priorities:

  • Experience in lithographic printing on a 5 Colour Press ideally
  • To have a full understanding of all the quality procedures related to Ticket Printing
  • To know and understand the entire operational requirements of the assigned machine.
  • To be fully aware of the required production dates and timings of each campaign.
  • If the machine is not running to optimum speed or optimum quality highlight the issue to the Head of Production.
  • To work towards achieving zero defects and look for ways of reducing waste.
  • Highlight any changes that you think could be made to improve efficiencies within the department.
  • If there is anything stopping, you from doing your job please inform the Head of Production immediately.

Important priorities:

  • Ensure you understand and follow the company policies with regards to system, data and physical security at all times.
  • Ensure you understand and follow the company policies with regards to Health and Safety at all times and you have read and signed the company Health & Safety policy.
  • Ensure you understand and follow the company policies with regards compliance with PCI and GCRTS and other relevant standards
  • Ensure you understand and follow the company Standard Operating Procedures where they exist.

  • Work closely with other members of the Production department to ensure efficient work flow.

For the Trainee role, previous lithographic experience is desirable but not essential. They will provide full training and support through a dedicated mentoring program.

Training program will include:

  • Preparing lithographic presses using job instructions
  • Producing test cases for sign off
  • Achieving high quality print finishing and monitoring quality throughout production
  • Detecting and rectifying malfunctions, deviations, and defects
