FINISHING PRODUCTION ASSISTANT - LARGE FORMAT / GRAPHICS

WEST MIDLANDS

£Open (Depending on Experience) + Pension + 22 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

Hours of Work: 40 Hours per week Monday to Friday, between the hours of 7am and 7pm

Our client is a large format displays and signage company based in the Midlands, they offer a wide product range including Retail Display, Signage, Banners, POS, Outdoor Media, Vehicle Graphics, Fabric tension frames, Exhibition Graphics, Interiors, Module Stands and more.

They are currently looking for a Finishing Production Assistant, reporting to the Finishing Supervisor.

This role is responsible for carrying out all print finishing to include any and all associated manufacturing on new and innovative projects. To ensure that all goods and services are produced efficiently, correctly, cost effectively, on time and to a high standard.

Core Duties:

  • The role of a Production Assistant - Finishing is to ensure all work is finished in line with customer requirements and too a high standard. Specifically, your duties are:-
  • To ensure the Job Bag process is correctly maintained, and the ISO 9001 finishing procedure is correctly followed.
  • To complete all work as detailed within the job bag.
  • To ensure that all work is mounted, laminated, cut and finished to customer requirements.
  • To cut/weed and tape up vinyl.
  • To use the mounting, cutting and laminating machines.
  • To use graphic tools and chemicals safely and with proficiency, including but not limited to: UV inks, cleaning solvents, precision or utility knife, computerised graphic cutting table and mounting table, metal straight edge, measuring tape, transfer tape and other materials related to the production of graphics.
  • To finish off banners including the use of a sewing machine
  • To ensure that all work leaving the building is of the highest possible standard and quality with high degrees of accuracy
  • To prepare final product for shipping and delivery as instructed, creating custom packaging when necessary
  • To oversee machinery & equipment used daily and ensure that it is maintained, and kept in clean, good working order
  • To maintain a professional manner at all times, leaving any area of work clean and tidy
  • To ensure that a good Health & Safety standard is met at all times
  • To undertake any other activities as requested by your manager
  • To lead by example and role model respectful and professional behaviour in the workplace

. . . and finally, as with all other small businesses to roll sleeves up and support the production operation as required!
