Finishing Team Leader

We are currently recruiting for a Finishing Team Leader to join our Production team based at Coveris UK’s Wisbech site, working a continental shift. Suitable candidates would have experience in ensuring finishing lines are fully utilised and optimised, along with a proactive, positive attitude. 

Key Areas of Responsibility 

• Support the Finishing Coordinator to achieve KPIs and quality levels set by the site and ensure day to day running of Finishing lines in the Finishing cell are fully utilised and optimised 

• Carry out 5S audit across cell 

• Update cell board daily 

• Ensure all machines are running at optimum speed for the style of carton where possible 

• Complete all related paperwork and input data onto the ERP system accurately 

• Ensure the machine and equipment is maintained to a ‘new like standard’ 

• Ensure that consideration and good relations are always maintained 

• Fill out Production feedback forms when you incur downtime or input errors 

• Support the Shift Manager in concluding internal spoilage investigations and customer complaints 

• Ensure all SOP’s are adhered too 

• Man machine at short notice to cover absence 

• Ensure all lines are operating to plan 

• Sizing samples for the correct box when a new job comes in 

• Identifying any manning gaps – reporting back into the Shift Manager

• Excellent communicator (written and verbal) at all times 

• Great attention to detail 

• Organised and calm under pressure 

• Friendly, approachable, and flexible – a team player 

• Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot 

• Experience of working within the carton folding industry would be beneficial 

• Computer literate 

• Experience of a fast moving, ever changing environment 

• Driving license is essential
