An expert print communications provider known for its creativity and innovation is looking for a Production Manager to join its award-winning team. This role will oversee and lead the Production team with efficiency and effectiveness to ensure optimal organisation, communication, and allocation of work and resources. Collaborate closely with senior management and other departments to facilitate seamless co-ordination and timely completion of all jobs to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and allocate team resources to meet business/client requirements, production targets and deadlines.
  • Co-ordinate and assign tasks, priorities, and schedules to team members based on workload, deadlines, and resource availability.
  • Monitor progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Work with Client Services team to ensure optimal service delivery in line with client and internal expectations
  • Communicate regularly with senior management and other departments to align efforts, resolve issues, and ensure smooth operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize team performance, productivity, and workflow.
  • Champion the implementation of new technology and common ways of working throughout the team.
  • Identify training needs, set objectives and provide coaching and mentoring to both existing and new team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements in all production activities.
  • Analyse performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, promoting open communication and problem-solving.

Essential knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Extensive knowledge of printing processes
  • Experience in the large format or point of sale print industry
  • Experience of managing a large team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Thrives under pressure, meeting tight deadlines and targets
  • Strong organisational and planning abilities to complete tasks
  • Effective prioritisation, including managing conflicting priorities
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Excels in fast-paced environments
  • Adept problem-solving capabilities
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office
