Health and Safety Manager | Corrugated | East Midlands - Hybrid | £40k - £50k

As Health and Safety Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Advising and assisting site management teams on safety related issues
  • Undertake site inspections ensuring that agreed policies and processes are being correctly adhered to
  • Keeping up to date with current and new required legislation
  • Following audits and inspections, creating action plans/improvements that are reasonable and presenting to the site General Manager

 

Key attributes required:

  • IOSH Managing Safely as a minimum and NEBOSH General Certificate desirable
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment, particularly in areas of health and safety and environmental
  • Ability to work with auditing tools and reporting
  • Competent in reviewing risk assessments and accompanying Safe Operating Procedures considering and identify reasonable solutions on how risks can be eradicated, reduced or controlled
  • Liaison and assistance with regulatory authorities, such the Health and Safety Executive to ensure compliance with mandatory regulations and assist in any investigations as required
