Set up in a bedroom back in 2005 by our founder Luke, we have grown to a team of 100+ and now make over 10 million customised products every year. From our 40,000+ square foot facility we are capable of producing more than 1000 different products. We serve a vast range of customers ranging from bands and record labels, through to clothing companies and restaurant chains.

The Role

 

Reporting directly to the Senior Operations Manager & the Managing Director, the HR Manager will be responsible for the delivery of the company’s HR strategy, all aspects of HR across the business, and creating and building an awesome working environment for all our employees.

 

This role serves as a key player for the integration of the company's culture at all levels of the business.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering administrative HR activities for the company
  • Ensure the company is adhering to current UK law and policies are updated accordingly.
  • Oversee all recruitment and onboarding advising and training management on best practice. Issue and review onboarding processes regularly to ensure the company is taking the best steps for staff retention
  • Ensure all managers are trained in the company’s HR processes and are confident in carrying out all people management activities supporting on any HR or team challenges and advising on best practise. Including performance management, absence/attendance management, disciplinary and grievance.
  •  Managing & delivering complex ER casework
  • Training and development activities - assist department managers on creating training and development plans for teams, ensuring regular team 1-on-1s are being held and are effective.
  • Facilitate the leadership team ensuring regular performance based pay reviews for staff.
  • Help plan and organise staff social events and defined plans for reward and recognition
  • Ensure all staff have up to date H&S training and work with the operations team to ensure all records are up to date. Working as part of the Health and Safety panel, ensuring any H&S tasks are completed
  • Think & work strategically - planning thoroughly, setting targets, and maintaining a top level view to improve the business
  • Working closely alongside other teams and managers

 

Requirements

- GCSE Maths and English grade C [or equivalent]

- CIPD Level 7 qualification [or working towards]

- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and numeracy skills

- Excellent management skills

- Good IT skills - knowledge of and experience using HR and payroll systems and working knowledge of G Suite and Microsoft Packages

- Ability to work under pressure

- Organisation skills and ability to plan & prioritise tasks

- Excellent experience working as an HR Generalist, knowledge of people development processes, employment law

- Understanding of HR Strategy

- Management experience

- Flexible and positive attitude towards work and people

- Attention to detail

- Ability to see the bigger picture
