Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced machine operator to operate our Zund di cutter and Canon Arizona, ideally with some knowledge of package design. You will work in our Bristol studio alongside specialists within textiles, screen and digital printing, framing, and woodworking.
The role would suit an ambitious, self-starter who is looking for a role to shape, and really make their own. You will need to be able to think ‘outside the box’ and push the limitations of the machines to assist the creative director with new ideas and concepts.
Experimenting is key within our art studios, so you will need to be up for trying new things, that don’t always fit the ‘norm’. In return, you will have the freedom to really push the boundaries and play a key role in the development of new products and the Laz Emporium brand.
While we are an art studio with an informal atmosphere, we are also a rapidly growing dynamic business with a robust schedule. You will need to be able to work independently, managing your time across multiple projects and deadlines.
Ultimately the most vital professional skills we’re seeking are the ability to work in a team under pressure, act competently on initiative, and a positive, ‘can do’ attitude.

• Experimenting and exploring; Using the machines to achieve different finishes.
• Assist the team with any print-related questions.

• Accuracy and attention to detail, consistently delivering a high standard of work.
• A positive and pro-active approach. • Able to work independently, and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Problem solving skills.
• Understanding of machine maintenance and able to confidently carry out.
