Our client is an independent corrugated packaging manufacturer based in the South West with an outstanding reputation in the industry, they specialise in bespoke corrugated packaging solutions and are heavily focused on the E-Commerce and Online Retail market sector.

Our client is looking to recruit a Manufacturing Manager with experience within the Corrugated Packaging Industry, an ideal candidate will have management experience in a highly dynamic setting. Your organisational, communication, and leadership skills are second to none and you enjoy developing solutions that push innovative boundaries. You'll work closely with the executive team to strategies, develop and implement long-term plans that usher in new levels of productivity and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 5 Direct Reports
  • Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes that provide visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles for key initiatives
  • Build and maintain relationships with all department heads, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals
  • Plan, monitor, and analyse key metrics for the day-to-day performance of the operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks
  • Devise strategies to ensure growth of programs enterprise-wide, identifying and implementing process improvements that will maximize output and minimize costs
  • Uphold organisation policies and standards, ensuring legislative regulations are followed
  • Work closely with human resources to lead team with integrity and establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment
  • Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment, replacing, or adjusting plant facilities and equipment when necessary
  • Provide leadership and training for relevant staff to accomplish the company goals and objectives
  • Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs
  • Incorporate shop floor organisation and plant cleanliness among plant personnel
  • Provide direction, development and leadership to production Managers & Supervisors
  • Perform any other duties maybe assigned by the Managing Director as and when needed
  • Demonstrate leadership, communication proficiency, decision making, problem solving and analysis, financial management, business acumen
  • Manage all employees, and being responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that plant


Background and Core Objectives:

  • Direct and manage all plant operations with overall responsibilities for production, maintenance, quality, and other production-related activities
  • Coordinate plant activities through planning with departments' managers to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Collaborate with executive-level management in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans
  • Maximize efficiency and productivity through extensive process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration
  • Set strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity
  • Work with the executive team in the development of financial and budgetary plans
  • Analyse current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement
  • Ensure strategy is aligned with future growth plans
