NATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER

WEST MIDLANDS (North of Birmingham)

Salary Circa up to £50K + Car + Bonus According to KPI + Laptop + Phone

Office Based 2-3 days a week

Our client is a highly innovative and successful packaging manufacturer of paper bags and importers of reusable sacks, mailing bags, reusable shopping bags and other packaging products. They company have a revenue of $200 million USD meaning they are an international company with offices based in the UK and overseas.

They are currently looking for a National Account Manager to continue the investment in their UK paper bag production facility and the strengthening of their brand reputation. You will need to be experienced and confident as you will be managing a range of important accounts and develop new business within those accounts and new customers to the company.

The ideal candidate will already be selling a range of paper/plastic bags, with a proven track record and will be excited at being a part of the company's strategic business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day to day management and strategic development of high value house accounts
  • Identifying and targeting new business opportunities in existing accounts and prospect accounts
  • Developing and maintaining successful long-term relationships with customers to translate their needs to sales
  • Maintain up to date records on the SAP system to provide full visibility of sales pipeline
  • Consistently achieving KPI's
  • Arranging and conducting client meetings both in person and via web-based means
  • Sending out samples and maintenance of office documents/files

Requirements :

  • Awareness of profitability as well as sales revenue value is critical
  • A proven background of delivering business growth and structured account development
  • Driven, results orientated, with a desire to progress and demonstrate capability
  • Focused and self-motivated individual who can work well alone as well as within a team
  • Proven ability to work to strict deadlines
  • The ability to create and maintain internal and external relationships on all levels
  • Friendly, approachable individual who will fit well within a friendly team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willing to travel internationally if required
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience in sales of core products is preferred and will be an advantage, these being Paper bags for the food/bakery/fast food sectors, paper tape handle carriers for retail and fast food, refuse sacks, mailing bags, re-usable shopping bags and BOPP film on reel
