Salary Guide £40K - £55K (Flexible for the Right Candidate) + Uncapped Commission + 25 Days Holiday + Car Allowance

Our client offers high-quality customised printed packaging & sustainable carton solutions, and outstanding innovative designs which have promoted brands for over 30 years. They create printed carton packaging from design to delivery, all under one roof, by providing tailor made, sector specific solutions from project development, design, packaging, and distribution of numerous world renown brands.

Manufacturing from their own factory overseas our client currently supplies to various industries, ranging from Tea, Confectionery, Food, Gift, Apparel, Pharmaceutical, PPE and FMCG and have just initiated the process of obtaining the BRC certification. Currently they are certified for ISO 22000:2018 & FSSC 22000 - Food Safety Management System certificates; the successful candidate can be from any region of the UK, you will be expected to work from home and travel to meetings with prospective clients and will be provided a dedicated assistant to promptly provide quotes

Our client is looking for a New Business Development Manager to expand their sales team in Europe and UK, they are looking for candidates with experience in selling printed carton packaging.

The role is initially focussed on new business however you will manage and keep new accounts brought on board.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organise own diary and schedule meetings with prospective clients
  • Identify, develop, and manage a pipeline of prospective customers
  • Communicating and developing relationships with key decision makers (at various levels and across distinct functions)
  • Generate call, sales, and customer visit reports along with a monthly forecast and work closely with the Directors
  • Develop a strategic and tactical model for business development, identifying new opportunities for solutions to fit potential customers
  • Create a forecast report and attend a monthly sales meeting with the directors
  • Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
  • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule meeting with prospective clients

Requirements:

  • Ideally a minimum 5 years business development experience in the UK printed carton packaging industry
  • Work independently, self-motivated with strong sense of responsibility and proven track record in sales
  • Excellent selling, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
  • Understanding of Litho print as well as finishing principles in print and packaging
  • Wide network of contacts of packaging buyers
  • Knowledge and experience of essential UK networks would be advantageous
  • Confident with communicating with contacts up to director level
  • Hold a valid UK Driving Licence
