OPERATIONS MANAGER                                              NORTH WEST ENGLAND


 Up to £42K + Attractive Benefits Package

 
Our Client is an independent profitable SME who are currently seeking an Operations Manager in the North West of England. The main purpose of the role will be to oversee the day to day operations within the business with direct reports from Admin, Sales, Finance and Warehousing departments.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Directs and supervises the activities of staff
  • Provide guidance for workers as needed
  • Identifies training opportunities for staff 
  • Oversees adherence to company policies/processes
  • Work to improve quality, productivity, and efficiency
  • Continuous improvement of policies, processes and systems
  • Delegates duties amongst staff members
  • Maintain budgets for all operational aspects of the business, including individual projects
  • Monitors costs against budget
  • Liaise with the Board of Directors to make sure all efforts are in alignment
  • Create monthly and annual reports
  • To uphold company values and ethics at all times and conduct yourself in an appropriate manner as a representative of the business
  • To maximise sales and profits whilst minimising loss and damages
  • To handle all data in line with GDPR Regulations (May 2018)
  • Keep working areas clean, tidy and safe

Entry requirements/skills:

  • BTEC HND or degree OR ‘Time Served’ equivalent in a related subject/role, e.g., Business Management, Operations Management
  • Proven business operations/management experience
  • Several years’ experience in a business operation/management environment
  • Outstanding Mathematical skills
  • Excellent English and IT skills
  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Commercial competency is essential
  • The ability to work to deadlines
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Honesty, integrity and reliability
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Organisation and time management skills

  • Any plastics or polymers experience will be beneficial

Training and Development:

  • You will be provided with training on internal processes and procedures.  
  • Any delivery of qualifications during your employment will be discussed and agreed with your Line Manager.
