Our client is a well-established provider of packaging materials and bespoke, sustainable packaging solutions. They supply a wide range of packaging including bespoke corrugated boxes,tapes, polythene bags, strapping, janitorial products, fitments, cartons, voidfill products, pallet wraps, films, bubble wrap and foam products. Their aim is to be the go-to packaging partner for bespoke, compelling, and genuinely sustainable solutions for SMEs.

They are currently looking to recruit a Packaging Engineer & Designer to create innovative packaging designs that make an impact and improvement for clients. You will be reporting to the Technical Director

Responsibilities:

• Structural packaging engineer (Covering bespoke design across Solid board, corrugated, rigid, Flexibles and timber, metal and HDPE Plastics as well as ECMA and FEFCO standards)
• Graphic designer (Full 360 design capabilities to create original artwork for production as well as preflight/position customer artwork into the production files)
• 3D Designer (Conversion of both structural and graphical elements into custom 3D models to produce renders for customer to use/approve)
• Estimating (Creation of new specs on AS and sending to suppliers)
• Liaising with production for print and technical data when required (chasing orders and getting lead times as well etc)
• Support Account Managers in closing deals with clients
• Sales facing when required for NPD and more technical projects
• Lead gen with own system in place to convert new customers quicker with design-based techniques for the FMCG customers.
• Other ad-hoc tasks as required by the company
• Aim for quote turnaround times to be less than 24 hours
• Aim for the design turnaround to be in accordance with design SLA
