Salary Guide £30K (This is Flexible for the Right Candidate) + 28 Days Annual Leave + Onsite Parking

Hours: Monday to Friday - 8:30am till 5pm (Flexible Hours can be discussed)

Our client has been established for over 40 years and specialises in producing a bespoke range of high-quality cartons, boards and trays for a range of market sectors including the food industry.

They are currently looking for a Pre-Press / Artworker to join their team running the Apple Mac Pre Press Department. You will be assisting in liaising with customers and agencies, checking, advising and approving pre-artwork files, generating print ready pdf files for their inhouse print room.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaising with customers and agencies.
• Taking briefs for amends to files held.
• Amend files and converse with customer for approvals.
• Ensure files are set-up correctly for printing.
• Apply artwork to cutter guides.
• Manual imposition to imposed laydown (if needed) Adobe Illustrator.
• Work out timescales, costs and the number of copies required.
• Liaise with Carton Design / Sample Partner.
• Ensure all digital files and samples are archived accordingly.
• Generate Spot varnish files and action Cyrel plates.
• Ensure all company materials are printed to the highest specification with the appropriate branding.

Requirements:

• Highly skilled in the use of Apple Mac software.
• High level knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Proficient Microsoft Office Skills.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Packaging Pre-press (not essential, training will be given).
• Methodical, calm, and collected (and a sense of humour is a must).
