Print 2nd Minder/ Print Assistant

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Lithographic print second minder/ print assistant to join our skilled print team working on our KBA 106 press. You’ll be working alongside the first Minder to produce a wide range of printed cartons and sleeves for a range of household names and premium artisan brands. 

A bit about you 

You’ll be working in a fast-paced work environment and operating to high standards. Teamwork is key in this role. 

At least 1 year’s previous experience of running a lithographic print press.

Experience on a KBA 106 press would be an advantage but not essential.

Ability to cover any overtime and holiday when required.

Be able to work effectively as part of a team, whilst using your own initiative.

Attention to detail. 

Roles and Responsibilities

Conduct Machine Checks at the start of each shift.

Assist the first minder in the operation of the print press.

Prepare the next job and check Job details are correct.

Perform routine maintenance, ensuring the press is in safe working order and running efficiently. 

Work in accordance with all Health & Safety and QMS standards. 

Prepare and mix batches of ink when required.

Keeping the feeder running efficiently and assisting the 1st minder when needed.

Shift Pattern

4 on/ 4 off

2 shift system: 6am-6pm/6pm-6am. The working week will be Monday – Sunday
